Extreme Blogging

Forbes says that wikis are next big thing. They are even calling it Extreme Blogging.
"The next big thing, according to Web junkies, is the "wiki." What are wikis? They are Web sites that are open for editing by anyone with a browser, without any fancy applications or programming skills necessary. Think a reference Web site on the history of Vietnam is biased? Scrub it clean. Think a documented procedure on your company's Web site is out of date and needlessly inefficient? Rewrite it."
Actually, while wikis will be big and this article is a good introduction, I don't think it's fair to call them "extreme blogging." Ben Saunders - now there's an extreme blogger if I ever saw one. Last year he traversed the Arctic Circle all alone on skis and even moblogged it along the way. He recently recounted his experience at Pop-Tech. Download it to your iPod - it's a worthy and inspiring listen.
